These allowances are based on a price of 87.70p per litre (398.7p per gallon) for unleaded petrol
*NB: Devon County Council uses an imposed car allowance rate (it was not agreed with Devon UNISON) which does not recognise the NJC rate above for cars of engine sizes 1200cc-1450cc.
In fact Devon County Council has been dragging its feet as regards reimbursing claimants at the correct rates - see the Campaigns - Travel Allowances page - the branch have made some progress in negotiations on this and further news will be posted here in due course. (May 06).
