Branch seeks members’ views on NJC pay claim 2016

Dear Member

Devon County UNISON is taking this early opportunity to ask for your views on the next Pay Claim for employees under NJC terms and conditions which should take effect from April 1st 2016.

Please note that the intention is to lodge a parallel and identical claim with academies, private contractors and voluntary organisations conditioned to the NJC.

At the moment, nothing has been submitted – which is why we want your views on what you think UNISON should be seeking so that we can feedback on both a regional and national basis.

For example, do you think everyone should get a flat rate increase of £1 an hour ? Should we be asking for everyone to be on at least the living wage which currently stands at £7.85 per hour ?

Should it be a flat percentage increase of, say, 5%? In with the claim, should UNISON be asking for increased holiday or a lesser working week ?
We need to know so that your views can be put forward.

Join us at our Annual General Meeting on 3 March to share your views or send us an email at:  branchsec@devoncountyunison.org.uk putting ‘Pay Claim’ in the title.

Thanks for reading this and, hopefully, taking the time to come to the AGM so that your ideas are heard.

Best Wishes

Steve Ryles
