Job Evaluation - as at the
Branch's Special General Meeting - 8 Jun 05
This is taken from a Powerpoint Presentation given at the meeting
( - together with some rough notes):
Job Evaluation - Why do it?
Doing Nothing is not an Option! (Some UNISON members have expressed concerns over why we are co-operating with the Job Evaluation process. However, 'Job Evaluation' was part of the 'Single Status' Agreement made back in the 1990's.)
UNISON is committed to achieving equal pay for our members, regardless of 'no win-no fee' lawyers.
Therefore we are committed in delivering a fair evaluation process for our members.
Pay Settlement
The 2004 - 2006 National Joint Council pay settlement now commits councils and trade unions to a reform plan comprising of six points including completing job evaluation and achieving new pay structures by April 2007.
