Comparisons of IRTFR & NJC
Travel Rates for 2005
- (if the latter had been implemented):

Devon County Council chose to freeze all the NJC Travel Allowances at the then 2003 rates. (Note: these were rates agreed by the National Joint Council - notice the 'Joint' bit). So although we have the NJC Travel rates for 2005 / 06 (and now for 2006 / 07) listed on the site, those eligible haven't been receiving them - See the presentation on Travel Allowances made at the Special General Meeting on 8 Jun 05.

Here's the letter of the 23 May 05 from the Head of Employee Relations with an offer.

If Management succeed in imposing the Inland Revenue Tax Free Rates (IRTFR) on staff in place of the NJC Rates - as they think they can as part of the 2004 Pay Claim Settlement - the table below will show the 'winners and losers' amongst existing Essential Users.
