Exeter & East Devon
As you know there are many
benefits to being a member of UNISON. One such exciting opportunity is a
number of free short courses have been designed by your UNISON branch for
members in Exeter and East Devon region.
The first course starts in Sep 07 and we hope that there will be at least
one that interests you. Each course consists of 4 sessions held once a week.
The first session is 6.30 - 9.30pm, the rest are 6.30 - 8.30pm.
- Starts 5 Sep 07 - Recognising and dealing With
Stress
Do you know the signs of stress? Learn how to recognise them and try out
some stress prevention and stress relief techniques.
- Starts 2 Oct 07 - Personal Finance
Would you like to understand how to find the cheapest credit? Do you know
how to end the month with money in the bank? Planned for your pension?
Come along and learn how to take control of your money.
- Starts 6 Nov 07 - Job Skills
Planning a career change or promotion? This course will help you complete
job application forms, write your CV and improve your interview technique.
- Assertiveness for Women (dates
to follow and depending on the number of applicants!)
Ever agreed to do something you didn't really want to do? Do you find
it hard to state your own needs without feeling guilty? Assertive is a
communication technique, which shows you how to communicate honestly and
directly.
All of the courses will be held at the WEA offices in Exeter (Bradninch
Court, Castle Street) where parking will be available.
