Just because you’re retired doesn’t mean you have to stop being active in UNISON Devon County Branch. UNISON works to raise awareness of issues which concern older people and to influence decision makers, including:
- Pensioner poverty
- Health care and age discrimination
- Isolation and mobility issues
UNISON Devon County Branch has an active retired members’ group with over 1,200 members.
The Retired Members’ Committee meets four times a year.
When you join you will receive a lively newsletter by e-mail or post with details of events, commentary on current issues and useful advice. You will also be able to access a number of other benefits from continued UNISON membership, including a will writing and conveyancing service at concessionary rates.
How do I join?
Provided you were a member of UNISON for two years immediately before retirement, you can become a life member for a single one-off payment of £15.
Fill out the Retired Members’ Application Form and send to Branch Office giving your retirement date and enclosing a cheque for £15 payable to Devon County Unison and the Branch Office will do the rest.
